Core Workflows: Import
Convert CAD Files with Anark Core
Anark Core imports CAD files from industry-leading design tools and converts this data into precise solid geometry for all preparation and transformation tasks. Anark Core supports industry-leading CAD and mesh formats and facilitates interoperability between popular CAD authoring, analysis, simulation, visualization and product documentation applications. Watch the video to see Anark Core in action.

Heal and Repair CAD Geometry
During the import process Anark Core performs geometry healing functions to produce precise representations of CAD geometry.
- Tolerizing entities repairs precision related errors when the imported data can’t be represented precisely within Anark Core. To remedy this Anark Core computes an appropriate tolerance which is applied to every vertex and edge within the imported entity.
- Anark Core modifies entity topology by removing small edges, sliver faces, and splits edges having large G1 discontinuities in their P-Curves.
- Anark Core modifies entity geometry by reconstructing self-intersecting and irregular curve geometries of edges, co-edges, and surface geometry of faces.
- Anark Core also fixes invalid loop errors within the entity.
Product Structure and Features
Anark Core preserves the product structure inherent within the original CAD source file, providing users with an exact representation of the assembly. Anark Core also recognizes holes and fillets defined within the geometry allowing for easy selection and removal.
